Here ends my first American odyssey, back in LA, where the adventure began. What did I learn?

Venice Beach is described by Lonely Planet as the home of LA’s counter culture. I think that's code for kind of seedy.

These are my first impressions of Los Angeles, after a sixteen-hour flight from Australia. I'm surprised I saw anything through bleary eyes.
